Ugandans in Cote D'Ivoire, Liberia and Sierra Leone Celebrate the 57th Independence Anniversary

Uganda High Commission in Abuja encourages all Ugandans in its area of accreditation to commemorate this national day as it's one way of mobilising the diaspora for national development. 

Visit Uganda and Experience the Land of Martyrs- Minister Kiwanda

State Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities in Uganda, Godfrey Kiwanda has urged the people of Nigeria and West Africa in general to visit Uganda and experience the land of Martyrs. He was speaking during the Uganda Day at the AKWAABA African Travel Market, which took place on Sunday in Eko Suites Hotel Lagos, Nigeria.

Amb. Ocheger Hails Promotion of Domestic Coffee Consumption in Africa

Uganda's Ambassador to Cote d Ivoire, with residence in Abuja, Amb. Nelson Ocheger has hailed the Inter-African Coffee Organisation (IACO) for championing the promotion of domestic coffee consumption in Africa and the recognition of coffee as a strategic commodity in the Continent. He made this commendation during the IACO breakfast meeting with African Ambassadors from both coffee producing and consuming countries.

Amb. Nelson Ocheger has called on the Republics of Uganda and Sierra Leone to take advantage of their cordial relations to scale up cooperation in all areas of mutual interest for the benefit of both countries.
He stated this while presenting to President Julius Maada Bio, letters of credence accrediting him as High Commissioner of the Republic of Uganda to the Republic of Sierra Leone, with residence in Abuja, Nigeria. The ceremony took place on June 20th, 2019 at the Presidential Palace in Freetown.

The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister of Uganda, Dr Ruhakana Rugunda represented H.E. the President at the National Democracy Day of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and thereafter, visited the Uganda High Commission in Abuja. He was received by High Commissioner Amb. Nelson Ocheger and the Mission staff. He was briefed on the Mandate of the Mission and its area of accreditation. Among the key achievements highlighted was the successful marketing of Uganda as a tourist and higher education destination.
