REPATRIATION OF UGANDANS STRANDED IN NIGERIA, GHANA, TOGO, IVORY COAST, BENIN, SENEGAL, BURKINA FASO, EQUATORIAL GUINEA, REPUBLIC OF GUINEA, LIBERIA, THE GAMBIA, NIGER, MALI, SIERRA LEONE, GUINEA BISAU AND CAPE VERDE

As you might already be aware, Ugandans stranded abroad due to the closure of Entebbe Airport and of the borders following the outbreak  of  the  COVID-19 pandemic are to start going home in a safe and orderly manner.

A list of guidelines has been attached to this communication to enable those concerned comply with the requirements, by way of Standard Procedures, with regard to those planning to  return to Uganda.

Stranded Ugandans who already registered with the Mission and provided the necessary documents and reside in Nigeria, Ghana, Togo,Ivory Coast, Benin, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Republic Of Guinea, Liberia, The Gambia, Niger, Mali, Sierra Leone, Guinea Bissau and Cape Verde may not send the same documents except those that are specified in the guidelines and had not been specified before.

Those who have not sent all the necessary documents must do so even if they registered with the Mission as such.

A copy of the Undertaking of Citizens of Uganda or other Legal Resident Under the arrangement of Returning Ugandan Nationals who are Stranded Abroad due to the Closure of Entebbe International Airport and Boarders following the Outbreak of Covid-19 Pandemic and another one of the Ministry Healthy Designated Quarantine Centres have been attached to help those interested.
